Take-in The Heron Festival April 24-25 Clear Lake CA

If you like nature, wildlife,and getting outdoors, you might want to take yourself, family and or friends to the Heron Festival April 24-25 in Clear Lake State Park.  The event, sponsored by the Redbud Audobum Society and the Clearlake State Park Interpretive Association, offers pontoon boat tours, nature exhibit booths, children's activities, nature walks, speakers, music and more.  There is also the Wildflower Brunch on Saturday, from 9:00AM till Noon. Clearlake State Park is great place visit and get outdoors.  It has lots of winged wildlife, in addition to miles of trails, manually powered boat rental, power boat launch facilities, and overnight RV parking. It also has a fully stocked country store.  So plan on spending some time celbrating the big bird. We have several varieties of the the big bird that visit the lake many of whom like the Lake channel which I live on  also.  They like the security ther from raptors and the habitat it provides for cathing fish.  Make a showing at the Heron Festival, I don't think you will regret it(egret it,smile); the weather will be warming up and it should be a good event for you and visitors.
